Welcome to the "Rogers Family Excellent Adventure" blog. This will help keep you up to date on our trip up the middle of Australia and around the East Coast before returning to Melbourne. It all started a year ago when we made the decision to apply for long service leave for 2012 and do a 3 month trip exploring parts of Australia we have never seen before. The original idea was to go up the middle (Coober Pedy, Uluru, Alice Springs and all in between up to Darwin, then turn left and do the West Coast. We then decided to save the West Coast for a future trip and turn right towards Townsville instead. The Whitsundays and other areas along this coastline are a huge attraction to us and is one part of Australia we have yet to explore.
